Individual Water Meters
(Sub-Metering)
06/11/15
Through the efforts of the 2014 Board of Directors to procure Individual Water Meters for our homes, and applying for a reduction in sewer costs based on documented usage related to the Individual Meters, the Department of Sanitation has agreed to lower our sewer usage percentage from 93% to 68% effective November 2015. Your first water/sewer invoice in 2016 will show an average sewer cost reduction in the area of $8.00 to $10.00 per (2 month) billing period for each homeowner.

Our Individual Water Meter contractor will begin the installation of water meters on Monday, August 4th, 2014.
Prior to the installation, homes to be worked on will have a note attached to both the garage and front door alerting the homeowner that water will be shut off for approximately 2 hours. Homeowners are not required to be home at the time of installation.
If you notice some plants being removed from the common area in front of your house, it is because the plumber installing the individual water meters needs clearance around the green box where the water meter will be installed.
After installation, the plants will be re-planted.
The project is anticipated to be completed before September 10th.
The 1st meter reading will be somewhere between the 10th and 15th of September .
The 2nd meter reading will be somewhere between the 10th and 15th of November.
On December 20th, each homeowner will received their first water bill, to be paid along with the dues to Bali Mgmt.
(Water bills will be issued six times a year.)
Tampering with the water meter is a violation of the California Department of Weights and Measures which is regulated by the State and Federal Food and Drug Administration; it's a felony.
